What the fuck is this?...I mean, are these people serious?...when I was a HS kid I wore baggy jeans, it drove my parents and society nuts...and I get it...it was different...but it came from a serious place...basically, it was the 90's in New York, and Giuliani was locking up every minority kid with so much as a roach with scraps of un-smokable garbage in it....so there was an unbelievable amount of kids going to jail for long periods with overblown charges...blame the broken windows program I guess...anyway...
when the kids came home and went back to school they felt uncomfortable in jeans that actually fit...because in jail you don't get belts...they don't want you to hang yourself so your pants are always loose...always safety first in prison...point is...it became cool for us to wear our shit loose...

I've been reading a lot lately about liberals turning on big O and liberals in general.
I don't have a problem with that...I myself have a huge problem with liberals, funny thing is, I have the exact same problems with conservatives.

Neither side is willing to accept that the other has validity in their views. Much of this has to do with who's on the idiot box representing both sides. Between Glenn Beck and Keith Olbermann, i don't know who I'd burn longer.

I can get why liberals are pissed...Obama promised the world. While he did deliver on hope, fact is that hope is running on empty now. With republicans doing everything but tying him up like an Abu Ghraib detainee to keep him from delivering on his promises, and democrats barking like dogs with their zap collars finally off, I can see how it might be a little hard for Obama to get anything done. Either way, liberals are upset at him, and conservatives are supposed to be...so whats wrong?

Ok…so this is one that always pissed me off…the fact that when the topic of welfare comes up..and a white person is involved in the conversation…they can’t help but have visions of the lazy black welfare mother with 12 kids eating up all their hard earned tax dollars…when in fact…that vision is a hateful lie perpetuated by accepted racism… or as society would rather have it said..a stereotype.

Keep in mind blacks only make up 15% of the US population, so 37% of them still makes up a hell of a lot less than 38% of whites.

Dying Slow...

Do you like your health care? Do you enjoy your doctor visits? If your answer is yes…god bless you…problem is…the answer is no for far too many…this is the one topic that I don’t like discussion on.

For the life of me I can't understand someone saying that health care needs to be something that needs to be paid for…you can take in stray cats…you can volunteer time at the local rec center…you can accept that education on a basic level can, is and should be free…but getting a physical should cost 400 dollars if you don’t have insurance?

I went to the doctor the other day…it took a half hour…25 mins waiting to see him…and five mins with him…in that five mins I told him what hurt…he felt around…then told me to go get some pills to make it not hurt anymore…that cost me 400 dollars…the pills…another hundred…so 500 dollars for a simple solution…and now at a time where so many have lost their jobs…and therefore lost their health insurance…its amazing that there are still some people…scratch that…most people…still think this system is great…

”Leave my health care alone”…god I love this country…full of people who say no to abortion just to watch you grow and die broke and alone over something completely preventable…and to those complaining about raised taxes over the matter?....

we used to get along so well…we used to go out all the time and have fun…we used to walk around together and laugh, play….shit we used to be in love…I can walk with you and get an affordable meal…I used to walk around with you with 20 bucks in my pocket and come home with 10 dollars…I used to go out on a date and spend 57 bucks on dinner and a movie…and I wasn’t even trying to be cheap…$20 for 2 movie tickets with popcorn…and 37 bucks on dinner with a glass of wine for me and my date….now it costs over $100…i used to be able to afford a studio apartment in hells kitchen…they used to be 750 a month…now they are 1800…

I used to be able to go grocery shopping for the next 2 weeks for 70 bucks….now its 100 dollars a week and god forbid I want steak one night a month…I’ll have to skip doing laundry for a week…we used to live great making 45000 dollars a year…now I have to live with 3 people in a one bedroom just to make ends meet….we used to be envied together…now I tell people we live together and they feel sorry for me….we used to walk around and have different flavors in the neighborhoods…now they all seem to look the same…or they will real soon…what happened nyc?...

i used to love you…but now it seems like you’ve left me for a richer man…well, let me tell you something before I leave…he’ll never treat you like I did…he’ll never understand why you can be such a bitch sometimes…because sometimes you are…and I loved you anyway….for every garbage filled street…or every piss stained corner…I accepted your flaws…now you’re living the good life…expensive things…and gaudy homes…with many young callers begging to spend more money on you than I ever could…and you like it…everything that made you interesting is gone…the Broadway shows cost too much…central park is overcrowded… the only thing people know from you is that you are one hell of an expensive date…but I knew you before that

I can’t forget or forgive what you’ve become….you went from a great girl that one can marry…to a one night stand easily forgotten and later regretted….have fun with your new suitors…I’m moving on.
